Manufacture and design of flooring for a major tourist attraction
Safer surfacing has been working with commercial customers throughout the UK for many years. We know that every project is important and requires our best level of service and the best quality products we can make.
Our product range has many uses and is a truly flexible and innovative range of recycled rubber products.
Whether you are a sole trader looking for support on a domestic surfacing project, or a landscaper looking for a suitable recycled ground cover product, or a large scale commercial construction company looking for a roof terrace surface – we have got you covered. Our experience has seen us delivering 75 tonnes of play chipping for Chester Zoo, sending 22 tonnes of play chipping to a holiday park in Cornwall right through to sending 30 tonnes of our equestrian arena chipping to Aberdeen, all in the same week.
We are a friendly team and welcome people to call in to chat through a project and to see our products first hand.
Safer surfacing manufactures our own products and we are able to flex to demand so no customer is too big or small. All of our product ranges are available in handy 20kg poly bags right through to 600kg bulk bags and even 8 wheeler tipper trucks loaded with loose fill recycled rubber.
We do love the variety of clients that we work with, and our products end up in some unusual places! Our economy chipping has been used in a variety of theatres as an alternative to gravel and stone and has even been in several blockbuster films! Our wetpour has been featured on ITV’s Love Your Garden and even our rubber mulch is famous – it is now the floor to the ‘Forbidden Forest’ theme attraction!
We work with both domestic and commercial customers throughout the UK and have supplied our rubber surfacing products into the following sectors:
Landscaping
Construction
Schools and nurseries
Theatre and film productions
Equestrian arena
Architects and quantity surveyor requirements
Tourist attractions
Pubs and restaurants
Parks and recreation
Holiday parks
Climbing centres
Commercial plant suppliers
And many more…
Our 20mm rubber chipping is made from recycling used vehicle tyres. This is done by a series of specially engineered recycling machines that granulate the tyres into different sizes. They then pass through a separating line that removes the wire and smaller chippings.
When used in a landscaping setting the permeable material allows the rainwater to seep quickly through the rubber and into the soil structure, with the added benefit of the rubber covering the soil there is a slower process of the rainwater drying out.
