Challenge
We were asked by Country Meadows Caravan Park in sunny Mablethorpe to supply a safety tested loose fill playground surface. They had a new playground installed and wanted to add a soft, safe and low cost surface to finish it off. We sent some samples of our 20mm play chippings in our full range of colours for the team to choose from.
Action
The completed play area required 3.6 tonnes of the playground loose fill chippings. The team chose a mixture of terracotta, green and blue from our selection. This was delivered pre-mixed in 6 x 600kg bulk bags. The team just needed to lay a weed suppressant membrane and then simply pour in the pre-mixed chippings. The play equipment they had installed meant that the chippings were laid to a depth of 100mm to attain the critical fall height certification.
Result
The new play area looks great and the park team have had positive feedback from their customers too! The play area allows drainage and the chippings dry quickly after the rain. The colours are long lasting and do not rub off on clothes or skin. All round we have another happy customer!
